Apache Junction Man Rescued From Flood Waters Thanks Officers

An Apache Junction man is thanking his rescuers Friday for pulling him out of floodwaters earlier this week.

Daniel Abbot was trapped in a wash behind his home in Apache Junction on Monday following a heavy downpour.

Abbot injured his knee and couldn’t get out of the floodwaters by himself. Apache Junction police Officer Cameron Kellogg made his way to Abbot and carried him on his back to a location where he and another officer were able to get him out of the waters. The rescue was captured by Officer Kellogg’s body camera.

Abbott met with his rescuers at his home to thank them.
