Later this fall, a new shop will be opening in Old Town Scottsdale. Or, to be more precise, 17 new shops will be opening — all under one roof.
Work continues on the Merchantile, an indoor marketplace that will feature local small businesses selling their goods out of 10-by-10 booths, plus room for up to 20 weekend pop-up shops.
Kimberly Pak is co-owner of the Merchantile along with her husband. The Show met her at the former site of Saba’s Western Wear in Old Town, where crews were getting ready for the planned October opening.
Pak explained the kinds of merchants they were looking for and what kinds of goods they hope to sell in the new space.
