One of the three runways at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport will be closed to air traffic over the first weekend of November.
Sky Harbor crews will be performing maintenance work and installing upgrades to runway lighting systems on the southern runway which handles arrivals.
The runway will be closed beginning 10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1 until 7 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4. Travelers arriving at Sky Harbor may experience delays, especially if they arrive on Saturday, November 2, during the peak travel hours of 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Sky Harbor officials urge travelers concerned about delays or catching connecting flights to contact airlines for assistance.
