ADOT Reopens Portion Of Arizona State Route 88

The Arizona Department of Transportation has reopened a section of State Route 88 that was closed due to flood damage. ADOT closed a section of State Route 88 between Tortilla Flat and State Route 188, near Roosevelt Lake, on Monday.

The Woodbury Fire burned more than 100,000 acres immediately east of the roadway. That had raised concerns of debris flow and flash flooding. Motorists can now take State Route 188 from US 60 or State Route 87 to access Apache Lake, taking State Route 88 west.

ADOT urges caution when going through areas affected by the Woodbury Fire and to travel during the daytime if possible.
