Producer J Dilla passed away from a rare blood disease more than a decade ago but, just before he died, he released a an album called "Donuts."

Now, Save The Music has started a new program aimed at continuing his legacy.

The J Dilla Music Tech Grant was developed in conjunction with i am OTHER (Pharrell Williams’ creative agency) and ASU.

To talk more about it, The Show reached out to Evan Tobias, an associate professor of Music Education at ASU and Head of the Consortium for Innovation and Transformation in Music Education.

EDITOR'S NOTE: This article has been updated to correct the name of the foundation and to clarify Pharrell Williams’ involvement.
