Highway Signs Honoring Arizona Native American Veterans To Be Unveiled

New highway signs recognizing Arizona’s Native American veterans will be unveiled this weekend.

Parts of state and federal highways will be renamed Navajo Code Talkers Highway and Hopi Code Talkers Highway, among others.

They’ll be seen on State Route 264, and U.S. Routes 160 and 89.

Senior field correspondent Bridget Dowd has a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
