Gone are the days of just one health insurance provider in Maricopa County as companies expand their options under the Affordable Care Act for 2020.
Five companies have confirmed they will sell plans on the federal marketplace in 2020 — four were available this year, and just one was an option in 2018.
The increase in options comes even as the ACA continues to drive political divisions. But despite repeated repeal efforts and legal challenges, the ACA remains law.
Arizonans can view their insurance options at healthcare.gov, and open enrollment for 2020 begins on Nov. 1.
