Using Tech To Make Pedestrians Safer

Earlier this year, the Phoenix City Council voted against looking into whether a national program to reduce pedestrian deaths, called Vision Zero, would be a good fit for the city.

Neighboring Tempe, however, decided to go ahead with the program.

The number of pedestrians killed continues to increase in Arizona, with the problem especially prevalent in Phoenix, but could technology be part of the solution to this problem?

Rana Lashgari, with the Phoenix-based firm Arizona Municipal Strategies, works with a company that brought smart city technology to Las Vegas. She joined The Show to talk about how it could work here.
