New Report Aims To Close 'Grand Canyon'-Sized Gap In Data On Connectivity In Indian Country

Nearly 20% of Native Americans living on reservations do not have any internet access at home, and more than a third rely on their cellphones to get online.

Those are among the findings of a new report assessing tribal technology.

Traci Morris, director of the American Indian Policy Institute at Arizona State University, did the research on the topic. She said, generally, there’s a lack of data on Indian Country that’s about the size of the Grand Canyon.
