The Arizona Insect Festival takes place Sunday, Oct. 20, in Tucson from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The University of Arizona's Department of Entomology will host the free event at its Environment and Natural Resources 2 Building.
It will offer faculty talks, live music, food trucks and interactive exhibits, including booths where kids can build their own bugs, and adventurous foodies can nosh on edible insects.
In the Ask a Scientist Cafés, graduate students will lead panel discussions on garden bugs, medically relevant insects and arthropods, and Tucson insects.
Attendees can park for free in the Sixth Street Garage.
