Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs is asking for more money in the next state budget, especially because it's an election year, which isn't terribly surprising.

However, in the document, which her office made public, Hobbs said her budget request for the next fiscal year “aims to correct years of financial mismanagement.”

To talk about what the secretary is asking for and what’s behind this seeming rebuke of her predecessor, The Show reached out to Andrew Oxford, who covers the state legislature for The Arizona Republic.
