The Scottsdale City Council has approved a plan for a $300 million mixed-use development on the southern end of Old Town.

The Museum Square project will include a hotel, condos and apartments and green space, among other things.

There had been concerns over the amount of parking the development would include, as well as building heights, but those issues were resolved and the council unanimously supported the project with hopes that it can revive the area’s arts scene.

Mayor Jim Lane joined The Show to talk about his thoughts on the project.
