A new study shows that Arizona is the worst in the nation when it comes to rising college costs.
The report put out by the left-leaning Center on Budget and Policy Priorities revealed cuts to higher education and rising tuition pushes more costs onto students. That leads to a growing hurdle for those who want to enroll in and graduate from college.
The report also said those rising costs disproportionately affect students of color and those from low-income families.
While funding has rebounded some since the Great Recession, it has not kept up with the rising costs of college education. So what does this mean for students looking to get a college education? And how does this affect our economy going forward?
David Lujan, the director of the Arizona Center for Economic Progress, joined The Show to talk about the report.
