Home sold in north Peoria in 2015.

About a decade ago, Arizona was one of the worst hit areas when the housing crisis hit.

Now, in a new book, investigative reporter Aaron Glantz uncovers how an elite group took advantage of the losses of millions of Americans during the housing crisis — often using taxpayer money.

Glantz is Senior Reporter for Reveal from the Center for Investigative Reporting, and the book is called " Homewreckers: How a Gang of Wall Street Kingpins, Hedge Fund Magnates, Crooked Banks, and Vulture Capitalists Suckered Millions Out of Their Homes and Demolished the American Dream."

The Show spoke with him more about the book and who he is calling the "homewreckers," plus connections to President Donald Trump and Arizona.
