The Phoenix Police Department has started producing videos explaining responses to critical incidents. The department released its first such video Wednesday.
The 11-minute video, which was posted to the Phoenix Police Department's Facebook page, provides information about an officer-involved shooting that occurred in August.
The video opens with an introduction by Chief Jeri Williams, followed by a 911 call, surveillance video and body cam video.
In a written statement, Sgt. Tommy Thompson said the video is not intended to draw conclusions and that the incident is still being investigated.
The department plans to create and share more of these critical incident videos moving forward.
