New Census Figures Show 60% Of Arizonans From Somewhere Else

It turns out it’s easier to find an Arizona native than you might think.

New figures from the U.S. Census Bureau show a little less than 40% of Arizonans are natives who stayed in their home state.

The other 60% migrate here from somewhere else.

The largest group moving to Arizona hail from outside the U.S., making up about 15% of the total population.

California born transplants make up another 10% of the residents in Arizona.

About 9% are moving here from the Midwest, with the bulk of them from Illinois, Minnesota and Michigan.

And not all New Yorkers move to Florida. They make up nearly 3% of Arizona's population.
