How Effective Is The U.S. In Fighting Mexican Drug Cartels?

President Donald Trump has offered Mexico help in stopping the drug cartel violence that has killed a quarter million people over the past two decades.

The United States has assisted Mexico on the war on drugs for years, providing training, intelligence and equipment. Now, President Trump has offered to " wage WAR on the drug cartels," which the Mexican president declined.

The question is what more can the U.S. do? How effective have we been in dealing with the cartels?

For an answer, The Show turned to Bernard Zapor, a former special agent in charge with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in Phoenix.
