'Narrative Economics': Book Explores The Way Stories Drive Money

Economists are largely focused on numbers and data — which makes sense — but statistics and figures don’t necessarily grab the public’s attention. And, frankly, they can be hard to understand.

They also don’t go viral in the same way that relatable stories often do.

Nobel Prize-winning economist Robert Shiller digs into that topic and its importance in his new book " Narrative Economics: How Stories Go Viral and Drive Major Economic Events."

He joined The Show to talk about his work.
