University Of Arizona Withdraws Recognition Of Fraternity For Conduct Violations

University of Arizona officials are penalizing a fraternity for violating the Arizona Board of Regents Student Code of Conduct. The school has withdrawn university recognition of its Alpha Epsilon Pi chapter.

The conduct violations were for hazing and causing bodily harm, according to a statement from the school.

Loss of recognition means the fraternity can’t use school facilities and resources or participate in university events.

The same fraternity was put on probation and not allowed to hold events with alcohol in the spring of 2018.

Loss of recognition is in place until May 2025. The chapter has until Dec. 5 to appeal the decision.
