It’s been a little more than a month since Allister Adel was appointed Maricopa County attorney, replacing now-Arizona Supreme Court Justice Bill Montgomery, and in some ways, Adel has already distinguished herself from her often controversial predecessor.

She’s signaled an openness to criminal justice reform and emphasized the need for transparency. She’ll finish Montgomery’s term, which runs through January 2021, and plans to run next year for a full term, making it the first office she’s ever run for.

Allister Adel joined The Show to talk about her new job.
