Multistate E.Coli Outbreak Hits Arizona

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is investigating a multistate outbreak of E. coli infections. Seventeen people have been infected, including one in Arizona.

"At this time, CDC has been advising consumers to avoid eating this particular bag salad. It’s a Ready Pac Bistro Chicken Caesar Salad with a best by date of Oct. 31," said Jessica Rigler from the Arizona Department of Health Services.

"We have not been able to identify this particular case as associated with that salad at this time."

But, Rigler says, the investigation is still ongoing. She says there are challenges linking an individual to a particular product because they might not remember eating it or it could have been served at a restaurant.
