Ironman Triathlon Will Restrict Traffic In Tempe

Nearly every road near Tempe Town Lake will have closures or restrictions for the Tempe Ironman triathlon Sunday.

Between Mill Avenue and McClintock Drive, Rio Salado Parkway is restricted to one eastbound lane, with no westbound traffic allowed.

Northbound Priest Drive only has one lane open between Rio Salado and the Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway.

Mill is closed from Second Street in downtown Tempe, north to Curry Road.

Both Rural and McClintock are closed between Rio Salado and the 202.

There are changes to at least ten bus routes — including the Tempe Orbit shuttles.

The restrictions and closures will be in effect until six p.m. Sunday.

For more information on closures, visit Tempe's official website
