This week, the FBI released dozens of audio recordings from a January 2011 mass shooting outside a Tucson-area grocery store.
The release comes nearly nine years after a 22-year-old man opened fire at the "meet and greet" with Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.
The audio between dispatchers and responding officers revealed the chaotic moments immediately after the shooting.
"We've got multiple, multiple, multiple calls," a dispatcher is heard saying on one clip. "They've not called us for assistance, I'm assuming they're quite 10-6 at this point. We've been informed Gabrielle Giffords is involved."
"10-6" is police code for extremely busy. First responders arrived to find 19 people shot, including Giffords. Six died, including U.S. District Court Judge John Roll, Giffords' aide Gabe Zimmerman, and 9-year-old Christina Taylor-Green.
Segments of the more than 100 audio clips released by the FBI were redacted without explanation.
