Educator Warns About Consequences From Green Party Losing Arizona Recognition

The Green Party will not be recognized in Arizona in the 2020 elections after it failed to meet a threshold of registered voters laid out in state law.

The Republican, Democratic and Libertarian parties did qualify and their candidates will appear on your ballots next year. But the next guest on The Show said the un-recognition of the Green Party is detrimental to all voters — and to the principles of our democracy.

Richard Stocking is a high school history and politics teacher. He was inspired to write an op-ed for the Arizona Daily Star warning about the possible consequences of denying the party statewide recognition.
