Mountain Lion Spotted In Northeastern Tucson

A mountain lion was spotted in the Skyline Country Club area of northeastern Tucson, and officials are concerned someone is leaving food for the wild animal.

A homeowner sent a video of the mountain lion in the area to the Arizona Game and Fish Department. A spokesman says the animal has not threatened anyone.

“Someone is either knowingly or unknowingly feeding it. Unknowingly perhaps by leaving out pet food. Knowingly well that implies someone is aware of its presence and giving it food," said Mark Hart with the Arizona Game and Fish Department.

Hart says the animal may be hunting prey on the country club’s golf course.
