The fact remains: New moms die in the United States at higher rates than anywhere else in the developed world.
But answers as to why can be a lot harder to come by, according to Dr. Kendra Gray with the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix.
Last week, Dr. Gray held a Mini-Medical School forum on the issue: why so many young women are dying and what the state is doing about it. The Show sat down with her in our studios after the event.
