ADOT To Replace Welcome To Arizona Signs With New Iconic Images

Arizona’s welcome signs are getting a new look. The new design was unveiled Wednesday by Gov. Doug Ducey.

ADOT will replace all welcome to Arizona signs across the state. Instead of the signs displaying the Arizona flag, the signs will feature one of six vibrant, iconic Arizona images, such as the Grand Canyon.

Josh Coddington with the Arizona Office of Tourism explains what other landmarks will be on the signs.

“Saguaro cactuses from Saguaro National Park, you have Horseshoe Bend, we have Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, we have the mountain peaks of Flagstaff, Red Rocks of Sedona," Coddington said.

Coddington says the goal is to encourage people to stay longer in Arizona, and these signs will highlight different tourist attractions for visitors.
