Judge Upholds Arizona's Petition Circulator Laws

On Monday, a federal judge ruled in favor of a state law that she said could make it more difficult for citizens to get their proposals on the ballot — but not enough to cause irreparable harm to voters.

The controversial law requires paid circulators and those who do not live in Arizona to register with the Secretary of State's Office. It further allows circulators to be subpoenaed by opponents, and if a circulator doesn’t show up to court, all signatures gathered by that individual can be removed.

Howie Fischer of Capitol Media Services covered the ruling, and he joined The Show to talk about it.
