A $400 million contract for border wall construction in Arizona is now under scrutiny.
The Office of Inspector General for the Department of Defense is investigating the contract awarded to North Dakota-based Fisher Sand & Gravel, a company that had never before received a government contract and that was found not to meet certain operational standards.
The investigation comes after a Democratic congressman raised concerns that may amount to “inappropriate influence” by the White House.
Jim Small is the editor of the Arizona Mirror, and he joined The Show to talk about the red flags that led to this investigation.
