Health Group Discusses Decline In Arizona ACA Health Insurance Sign-Ups

The federal government recently announced a three-day extension to the enrollment period for signing up for health care coverage under the Affordable Care Act, commonly known as Obamacare.

More than 60,000 Arizonans have enrolled for coverage in 2020, a number that represents a 17% decline over enrollment numbers from last year.

But much like tax filing and Christmas shopping, people tend to wait until the last possible minute to sign up.

Joining us to discuss the decline in enrolled Arizonans and efforts to get people signed up for Obamacare is Allen Gjersvig, director of Outreach and Enrollment Services with the Arizona Alliance for Community Health Centers.
