Arizona Secretary Of State's Office Creates Cybersecurity Handbook

In advance of the 2020 election season, the Arizona Secretary of State's Office has created a cybersecurity handbook for candidates and political parties.

The  cybersecurity handbook is designed to help protect candidates and those involved in elections from cyber hackers. The handbook has 10 tips for securing mobile devices, websites and email accounts where candidates or parties could be vulnerable.

“There’s things like multi-factor authentication for all of your accounts, if you log in on an unrecognized device it’ll send you a code on a recognized device so you can verify your identity," said Secretary of State Katie Hobbs.

Hobbs says the office is making sure candidates and political parties have the tools and resources to protect themselves and their organizations.
