Phoenix Desert Ridge Marketplace Visitors Can Drink While They Shop

If you have some last minute holiday shopping to get done, one Phoenix-area mall is offering a different way to help brave the crowds — with a glass of wine or beer in your hands.

Desert Ridge Marketplace in north Phoenix is taking advantage of a new state law that allows some retailers to give a bar or restaurant on site the ability to sell alcohol to customers, who can then walk around the rest of the facilities with those drinks.

Dan Sheridan has been in the shopping center industry for more than two decades and is currently a partner at the real estate consulting firm Hoffman Strategy Group. He joined The Show to talk about this kind of shopping experience.
