Arizona Wildfires: What To Expect In 2020

With rain and snow falling and temperatures feeling a bit more like winter, wildfires are not top of mind for most Arizonans.

But that will change soon, as winter precipitation leads to a green spring, and then those potential fuels dry out.

For a look back at 2019’s wildfire season and a look ahead at what to expect in the new year, The Show spoke with Zander Evans, executive director of the Forest Stewards Guild. It’s a national nonprofit dealing with forest restoration and forest policy based in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
