The moving company U-Haul will no longer be hiring smokers or nicotine users. The Phoenix-based business will soon decline those job applicants.
The company wants to promote a healthier workforce, according to a press release this week.
The nicotine-free hiring policy will go into effect in 21 states on Feb. 1. The company said current employees will not be affected by the change.
U-Haul employs more than 4,000 people in Arizona and is headquartered in Phoenix. It also employs more than 30,000 people across the U.S. and Canada.
