How Cities And Police Departments Can Talk About Creating Citizen Review Boards

The Phoenix City Council is considering creating a citizen review board to oversee the city’s police department.

The idea has been gaining steam since a series of incidents involving use of force and racist social media posts put the department in the spotlight, but it remains controversial.

To talk through how city and police leaders, as well as residents may be thinking, William Terrill joined The Show. He’s a Professor in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at ASU, and Associate Dean in the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions.
