In an effort to speed up the process of safety inspections and following the lead of other pro sports franchises, the Arizona Diamondbacks are instituting a “clear-bag policy” at Chase Field for the 2020 season.
That means no more backpacks, briefcases, fanny packs or any opaque bag larger than a small clutch. What is allowed are clear bags of any size. Extra clothing will be permitted if worn or carried loosely.
The Diamondbacks will have temporary storage options for a fee in the plaza for those who bring in items by mistake.
The new policy goes into effect with the team’s Fan Fest next month.
