It is more affordable to buy a home than rent one in more than half of the U.S. counties surveyed in a new analysis.
ATTOM Data Solutions compared buying a median-priced three bedroom house vs. renting a three bedroom property, and found in 53% of the more than 850 counties they looked at, buying was the cheaper option.
Maricopa County was in the minority, though, where renting was more cost-effective.
