The Show highlights the creative builders, makers and designers that are sharing their talents with Arizonans in the Made in Arizona series.
Nicole Royse is not our traditional maker. She’s not an artist herself but instead a maker of an arts community.
She’s the owner of Royse Contemporary, a downtown Scottsdale Gallery that showcases local, current Arizona artists — and someone who helps shape artists’ messages for them.
Before owning her current gallery, she was a big player in the Roosevelt Row arts scene, where she curated shows for Monorchid and others.
The Show went down to her gallery to get to know more about her and the kind of work she likes the highlight.
EDITOR'S NOTE: The story has been updated to correct the spelling of Nicole Royse's name.
