The divisions we’ve seen in the U.S. are only expected to be more highlighted as the impeachment proceedings continue and the fall elections approach. And though we’ve heard many politicians over the years talk about bringing the nation together, we’re getting less and less of that lately.
Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice experienced the deep disagreements of the civil rights and Vietnam eras as a child — and up close working in the Clinton and Obama administrations.
Rice has written about her life and career in the new book "Tough Love: My Story of the Things Worth Fighting For" and will be in the Valley on Friday night at the Mesa Arts Center.
The Show spoke with her about what she believes would help Americans bridge their divides.
