ASU’s head football coach is getting a raise and a contract extension.

The Arizona Board of Regents on Thursday voted to increase Herman Edwards’ annual salary to $3.5 million.  According to the deal, his contract will also be extended until Dec. 31, 2024.

Under the new terms, Edwards’ salary would also increase by $200,000 per year beginning Jan. 1, 2021, and each January 1 thereafter. It also includes a provision for bonuses based on the number of regular season wins.

ABOR stated in a press release that the “salary increases will be paid from revenue generated by Sun Devil Athletics.”
