An Arizona state senator who became the face of the state’s #MeToo movement in 2018 is now facing accusations that she sexually harassed a female lobbyist.
Sen. Michelle Ugenti-Rita was among legislators, lobbyists and others who accused former Rep. Don Shooter of misconduct that eventually led to his expulsion.
And she isn’t the only state lawmaker facing scrutiny. A pair of ethics complaints have been filed against Rep. David Cook.
To talk more about the turmoil, Julia Shumway from the Arizona Capitol Times joined The Show.
EDITOR'S NOTE: The headline has been updated to correct Michelle Ugenti-Rita's title.
