For the past few years, Immigration and Customs Enforcement has faced heavy criticism from some for its policies and treatment of migrants. Some progressive politicians and activists have even called for abolishing the agency.
And concerns have heightened because of how transgender detainees are being treated. The Cibola detention facility in New Mexico was where those detainees were being held. Now it has temporarily closed and the transgender detainees have been moved.
Attorney Tania Linares Garcia of the National Immigrant Justice Center joined The Show to talk more about this.
