The Phoenix Mercury have made a major trade, and may not be done making moves before the WNBA season starts this spring.
Yesterday, the Mercury traded DeWanna Bonner to the Connecticut Sun for three first-round draft picks. Bonner had played each of her ten seasons in the WNBA for the Mercury and is a three-time All-Star.
Alexis Mansanarez, Phoenix Mercury Beat Reporter for the Athletic, joined The Show to discuss this deal and the role the league’s new collective bargaining agreement may have played in it.
After the interview, the Phoenix Mercury announced they had acquired four-time WNBA All-Star Skylar Diggins-Smith from the Dallas Wings in exchange for three draft picks.
