Tucson Water To Reach Out To The Public For 2100 Master Plan

Tucson Water is working on a comprehensive plan to assure supply for the next 80 years and will begin a series of public meetings starting Friday. The city of Tucson is reaching out to the public for input on the One Water 2100 Master Plan.

The city said water conservation is a major issue as the population in Arizona and Tucson specifically continues to grow.

Tucson Water spokesman Fernando Molina said the city relies on the public’s feedback for decisions made about its vital resource.

“I think it's just asking the public what their view is, what is their quality of life expectation, what will the community look like, what do we need to do to make sure we have water set aside for the economy and economic growth? ” Molina said.

The public meetings will continue until March 14, and the city is also accepting comments on their website.
