Democrats Focus On Southwest Issues In Las Vegas Debate

The six leading Democratic presidential candidates met in Las Vegas Wednesday night to convince Nevada voters to support them in this Saturday’s state caucus.

This debate took a different tone. Former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg was the focus of the other candidates’ ire as the multi-billionaire tried to sell himself to working-class Nevadans.

But most of the narratives revolved around issues germane to Las Vegas, Nevada and the desert Southwest — climate change, immigration and wages.

Nick Riccardi, the Western Political Reporter with the Associated Press, joined The Show to help connect the dots from the Paris Theatre on the Las Vegas Strip to Main Street in Mesa, Arizona.
