Animal hoarding is a serious problem both for pets and people. What can start off as a desire to provide a loving home to a pet can sometimes end up in a horrible situation where animals overrun homes and create unsanitary living conditions.
A new task force in Pima County is seeking to tackle the problem in a new way. The Pima Animal Care Center is teaming up with the Pima County Health Department, and the Pima Council on Aging to create a program that helps both people and pets.
