The George W. Bush Institute’s Freedom and Democracy program is calling on Americans — from academics and the press to the president — to reinforce support for democracy and human rights.
In a recent report titled “Choose Freedom,” the Institute argues that the country’s core foundational values are still very much alive — but they’re also being challenged by authoritarianism, populism and other negative perceptions.
