VistaScan allows physicians to use a tablet or smartphone to read the ultrasound, potentially making it more accessible to more people.
Dr. Berndt Schmit is a radiologist at the University of Arizona and has a charity called Humanitarian Radiology Development Corps, which builds radiology capacity in third-world countries. He joined The Show to talk about what this new technology could mean.
Schmit is also involved in start-up development and knows the people behind VistaScan.
