Why Arizona's Cities Are Struggling To Repair Their Roads

Local governments throughout Arizona are having a difficult time keeping up with road repairs. It’s so bad that in the city of Yuma, one transportation consultant called the problem a "tidal wave" of failing roads.

The most prominent reason is funding. The dedicated source to pay for road construction in Arizona is not enough to pay for all the needs.

To learn more about what Yuma’s going through, The Show spoke with Mayor Douglas Nicholls. He began by describing what it’s like to drive around Yuma on roads in need of repair.
