How Small Businesses Can Balance Personal Beliefs And The Bottom Line

A small, independently owned Mexican restaurant near Tucson received some surprising publicity last week when President Donald Trump tweeted his endorsement for Sammy’s Mexican Grill.

The restaurant’s owners had attended the president’s most recent rally in Phoenix and were recognized in the crowd by Tucson residents who took to Facebook and Yelp to leave negative reviews for the restaurant.

Business slowed down, but after the story came to light via a Fox News interview, traffic picked up at Sammy’s.

So how do small business owners navigate the balance between their personal beliefs and their bottom lines?

Chip Scutari, co-founder of S+C Communications, joined The Show to talk about it.
